Concrete calculator

Calculate slab or cylinder concrete volume in cubic metres and cubic yards, bags from labelled yield, and your bagged-versus-delivered costs.

Canadian dollars (CAD). Québec/Canadian assumptions as described below.

Use decimal feet: 12 ft 6 in = 12.5 ft. Thickness/height has its own unit below.

Compare bagged and delivered costs

All money is Canadian dollars. Taxable Québec amounts use 5% GST and 9.975% QST; choose taxes included when they are already in your quote. Unknown costs stay unknown. Enter zero only for a confirmed zero cost.

Volume and bag yield

A rectangular slab uses length × width × thickness. A solid cylinder uses π × radius² × height × count. The chosen allowance increases geometric volume; it is not engineering advice. Bags use mixed yield in litres, not bag weight or added water. Round the final bag count upward.

A 10 ft × 12 ft slab, 4 in thick, is 1.13267386368 m³ before allowance. With 10% allowance and an illustrative 14 L per bag, it requires 89 bags. Confirm the actual product yield on its label: Sika/Sakrete concrete product reference (French).

Compare complete quotes

Include delivery minimums, short-load charges, waiting, pump access, rentals, handling and labour. Costs are comparable only when all selected items and the same scope are confirmed. This calculator does not specify structural thickness, reinforcement, crew size or placement time. Check permits and design requirements separately.
