Convert gross pay in either direction
Annual gross salary = hourly rate × paid hours per week × paid weeks per year. For annual-to-hourly conversion, divide annual salary by total paid hours. Include paid vacation in paid weeks; exclude unpaid leave.
Example
CAD 30 per hour × 37.5 hours × 52 paid weeks = CAD 58,500 per year, or an average CAD 4,875 per month. Changing to 48 paid weeks gives CAD 54,000.
Biweekly means 26 periods per year; twice monthly means 24. Monthly and pay-period figures are annual averages, not a payroll schedule. No taxes, deductions, overtime premium, bonuses or benefits are calculated. Use the Quebec net salary tool for the separately documented payroll estimate.
