Privacy and your calculations

Your inputs stay in your browser

Calculations run on your device. We do not send your salary, costs or calculation results to an application database. There is no account, payment form or document-upload feature.

When you choose to add a flooring, concrete or heat-pump estimate to your renovation project, a small project summary is stored in this browser tab’s session storage. It is used by the renovation budget calculator, is not sent to a server and can be removed from the project. Closing the tab normally ends that session. Other calculation inputs are not saved by the site.

On supported French tools, a browser assistant you choose to invoke can receive calculation parameters and results under its own rules. Browser extensions and assistants are outside our control. Copying or sharing a result is your choice.

Hosting and technical requests

Opening a page sends technical requests to the hosting provider. It may process IP addresses and access logs and use technical security cookies under its own policies. Optional visitor statistics are separate.

Optional visitor measurement

Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager load only after you select Accept in the visitor-measurement panel. Declining keeps every calculator available. Use Privacy choices in the footer to change your decision.

Measurement helps us understand pages visited, referral origins, devices and tool use: selecting a tool, starting a calculation and completing it or encountering an input error. Our added events use fixed tool/category identifiers, not entered amounts or calculation results. Page addresses exclude query parameters and fragments; referrers are limited to their origin.

Google may process a browser identifier, technical connection/device information and approximate location. Connecting to its services exposes your IP address. Information may be processed outside Québec. Read Google’s privacy policy. Google advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled in our configuration. We do not add advertising tags or session recording.

Consent duration and withdrawal

Your choice and its date are stored locally for at most 180 days. Analytics cookies configured here last 90 days without automatic renewal. These browser durations do not determine retention in the Analytics account.

Declining after accepting disables site measurement, deletes accessible Analytics cookies for this domain and reloads the page. It does not delete data Google already received. You can clear site data in your browser or use the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Official and educational links open websites with their own privacy policies. Calculator values are not attached to those links.
