Up-front payment versus cost after assistance

Keep taxes and included work on the same basis. An illustrative CAD 10,000 quote before GST/QST totals CAD 11,497.50. Confirmed assistance of CAD 2,000 paid later leaves CAD 9,497.50 after assistance, but does not reduce the initial payment. Assistance already deducted is never deducted again.

Savings are a scenario, not a promise

Simple payback divides complete net cost by positive annual savings after extra maintenance. It excludes financing, future energy prices and replacement costs. Do not use your entire electricity bill as heating savings. Compare exact models, sizing, zones, AHRI performance certification, warranties, electrical work, noise, permits and contractor qualifications.
