Progressive sales bands
Only the sales within a band receive that band’s rate. This is not a retroactive plan that applies the highest reached rate to all sales. Enter increasing thresholds and use the same sales period throughout.
Example
For CAD 25,000 of sales: the first CAD 10,000 at 3% earns CAD 300; the next CAD 10,000 at 5% earns CAD 500; the remaining CAD 5,000 at 8% earns CAD 400. Total commission is CAD 1,200, an effective rate of 4.8%.
These three bands are an illustrative contract model, not prescribed employment terms. Confirm quotas, eligible sales, returns and payment conditions in your agreement. Results are gross, before deductions.
