Tax first, then your reserve

The reserve applies to known costs after their tax treatment, before later assistance. Do not tax the reserve again. A CAD 20,000 taxable quote becomes CAD 22,995 after GST/QST; a chosen 15% reserve adds CAD 3,449.25, giving CAD 26,444.25. That percentage is an example, not an official recommendation.

Avoid double counting

Do not add a whole-project quote and work already included in it. Imported scenarios are kept only in this browser tab; one per source tool. Editing a saved scenario marks it stale and excludes it until recalculated. Amounts already paid reduce remaining financing, not total project cost. Include delivery, permits, demolition, waste disposal, fees and rentals. Unknown costs make the result a partial subtotal.
